Monitor Lizards

Still a holiday, and after a DQ treat, we headed for a nature reserve where we heard there were monitor lizards. Anna did not want to go, but the rest of us were up for an adventure. We were greatly surprised by a wonderful nature reserve, lots of lizards, and even a few other surprises. Yes, they are big, and this first one was about 2 feet of the visitor center boardwalk ... Inside the nature reserve visitor center.

Off for a walk thru the reserve, with some beautiful scenery, a family picture, and a SNAKE. The snake was in the rafters of one of the bird watch pavilions. The funny part was, that we were in the pavilion for a minute or so, with many other people, before Kristin spotted the big buy right above our heads. We should have read the warning sign better.

As we ate a late lunch, we watched the workers do some casual fishing (or transplanting) some fish. This is a dirty job.

And then, we had some fun. The girls needed to get their mind off the wild animals. Anna had too much nature for one day!
