For Christmas 2012, we headed for Sydney, Australia as our family get-a-way. We expected to have many new experiences, but amazingly enough, we were surprised often at the things that made us excited. It was an amazing 12 days (which also meant it was extremely expensive), but worth every penny. Following is a quick run down of our trip
Saturday (Dec 15) - left Singapore for an overnight flight to Sydney
Sunday - recovered from our overnight flight
Monday - Taronga Zoo
Tuesday - Downtown Sydney (Opera House)
Wednesday - Manly Beach
Thursday - Downtown Sydney (Powerhouse Museum)
Friday - Fetherdale Wildlife Park & Balmoral Beach
Saturday - Downtown Sydney (The Rocks, Luna Park, Darling Harbour)
Sunday - Hillsong (for church), Manly Beach
Monday - drove to Blue Mountains (Leura, NSW)
Tuesday - Merry Christmas
Wednesday - Boxing Day and Echo Point/Three Sisters
Thursday - Blue Mountains hike and Darling Harbour
Friday (Dec 28) - left Sydney for Singapore
Since we already posted our favorite items from 2012 ... several of the items from this trip would quickly fit into that list. The next several posts will include pictures of many of our favorites, but in short, petting kangaroos and koala bears quickly jumped to the top of our list.
We checked another continent off of our to-do list, but already, we are talking about when we can go back again. I think that is the sign of a wonderful trip.
