After leaving Lake Tekapo, we headed just a short way up the road to Mt. John's Observatory. Up the road ... also in terms of straight up the local hill / mountain. The observatory is New Zealand's premier observatory with a number of different telescopes to the see the sky / stars, with very little light pollution.
But ... on the way up the hill, we encountered some wandering sheep (a few of many we saw in New Zealand).

Believe it or not, we saw no aliens. I guess the sign worked.
