We had the awesome privilege of going back to Australia this Christmas. Following is a quick summary of our itinerary.
Sunday: Fly from Singapore to Melbourne. Stayed at St. Kilda beach.
Monday: After a morning walk on the beach, headed to Phillip Island. Evening at the Nobbies and the Penquin Parade.
Tuesday: Morning visit to the Koala Sanctuary, and then off to a farm.
Wednesday (Christmas Eve): Back to Melbourne, with stops at a Chocolate Factory and Mini Golf. Evening church at Hillsong and enjoying the lights of Melbourne.
Thursday (Christmas): After a visit from Santa, we spent the day walking around Melbourne.
Friday: A morning movie (Annie) and then up to the 88th Floor to overlook the city.
Saturday: A morning visit to the Queens Market, and then on the road to start our Great Ocean Road drive. Stayed the evening in Apollo Bay.
Sunday: A visit to the Cape Apollo lighthouse, and then an afternoon of playing in the Ocean.
Monday: The beginning of a long drive along the Great Ocean Road, with longer stops at The Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge.
Tuesday: Finished our drive along the Great Ocean Road, and then on to catch the ferry to Kangaroo Island.
Wednesday: Full day tour of Kangaroo Island, with koalas, kangaroos, possums and a great outdoor lunch.
Thursday: Back to the ferry, and then a short drive up the coast to Adelaide.
Friday: Very hot (104 F) so off to the movies (Night at the Museum) after a visit to Central Market.
Saturday: End of our stay. Flight from Adelaide to Singapore.
