Christmas Eve Fun

Christmas Eve dinner, after a day of making, frosting and decorating cookies. Also, since the snow was falling, we enjoyed time outside playing (even if it was in a cardboard box). And of course, mommy is the dessert maker, extraordinaire!

Christmas Eve Snow

Yes, we got several inches of snow on Christmas Eve (at least 4 it looks like). We sent Anna out during the snow to get the mail. That's what kids are for, right? We spent most of the day at home enjoying the wonderful weather and getting ready for Christmas. Northwest's Christmas Eve service was cancelled, so we went to the Presbyterian church about 1/2 mile down the road. Not too busy, since the snow was still falling.

Anna's School Christmas Party

Kristin went to help with Anna's 2nd Grade Christmas Party at Wilder Waite. And of course, Emily and Jenna went along as well. They had a great time making Christmas Penguin Door Knob Signs and opening presents. The first picture is Anna with her teacher, Mrs. McCauley.

Almost Christmas

Almost Christmas, and we have three very excited little girls ... and two tired parents. The snow keeps coming ... but how else could Santa land his sleigh, if there isn't snow. We are all looking forward to a quiet and peaceful Christmas break.

The First Snow Fall of the Season

Yup - the first snow fall of the season came on December 3rd. So, first thing the next morning, we were out to play, and shovel. A beautiful 3 inches, and a lovely 30 degree day, meant we stayed outside and played, and played, and played. Okay - Jenna didn't last very long, and mom never made it out, but Anna, Emily and I had a wonderful time. Bring on the snow!
Putting Anna to work with the shovel. Okay, it didn't really last very long ... but it worked for a minute or two.
The crazy man who loves the snow!

Trip to the Aquarium

On our way to Kentucky for Thanksgiving, we stopped in Cincinnati for a trip to their aqaurium. We loved the crazy type sea life, the penguins, sharks (especially the opportunity to pet them), and the divers in the water with the sharks. Really fun place for the family to visit.

A Late Fall Hike

A late fall hike in Peoria ... means heavy sweatshirts and gloves. We had a great time, saw lots of deer, and hiked through a corn field. What could be more fun than that!

Hand Me Down Clothes

Wow - what a difference a few years make. Can't believe how life changes so quickly. Here is a dress comparison of our girls have worn the same dresses over time. First, Emily and Jenna in today in some beautiful red dresses.

And now for a few picture of Anna and Emily in these same dresses from spring 2008.

A Late Fall Trip To MN

What would a late fall trip to MN be without SNOW. Yes, we just got a little bit of snow, and lots of fun. Fun would include the snow, horses, Uncle Jim, Aunt Marette and cousins Tyler and Baihley. Even a visit from Terry, Cindy and Arianna.
