Anna Has An Adenotonsillectomy...

...or, Anna has her tonsils and adenoids removed! We arrived at the OSF Center for Health Surgery Center at 8:30 am on June 21st, with high hopes of improving Anna's quality of life. We were not disappointed. After a successful (and pretty quick) surgery, Dr. Gootee informed us that he had removed tonsils the size of ping pong balls from Anna's throat! Functions that the rest of us take for granted (like breathing and sleeping soundly) are on the horizon for little Anna. She plans to lie low for the next week or so, enjoying movies, books, computer games, and lots of sweet treats.

A visit from Will, Luke and Tom

David, Jessica, Will, Luke and Tom came for a visit in mid-June. A highlight of the adventure included a trip to the zoo, ice cream, a visit to the pool, lots of playing ... and capped off by the movie Toy Story 3, which everyone loved (although some adults cried).

Anna loses her hair

Anna was so excited to have a hair cut and donate her hair to Locks of Love. She is so happy to have a cooler hair cut, and something that isn't so hard to get ready (i.e., long hair dryer sessions, brushing hair with tangles, etc.).

St. Maarten without the sweet girls

We (the adults) ran away to St. Maarten for a little over a week, while Papa, Grandma and Addlea watched our three little girls. We had an awesome time, and even missed the girls (whenever we remembered we had 3 little girls). Here are some of our favorite shots of our great week in the Carribean. Our resort was on a little part of the island, between two bays. Nice sandy beaches on one side, rocky on the other side. Our unit was the last unit on the bottom left, overlooking the Great Bay ... into Philipsburg where the cruise ships dock.
