Food Stalls In Beijing (and other food stories)

In case you wonder what Chinese people eat, here are just a few interesting pictures. Okay, so maybe these items are the extreme, but I thought worthy of sharing.

Most of this is raw still, but the grill is working for when you pick it out. I think there is some squid or octopus in there.

Starfish???? Believe it or not, the Chinese lady I was with, did know you could eat Starfish.

And yes, this appears to be shark. Hmmmm.

So, believe it or not, I did eat this. This would be cooked (boiled, I think) duck feet (actually, duck foot, since there was no way I was eating two!).

And this is what I eat when I get back to the hotel to make my stomach feel better! This actually helped a lot on a food day where I needed something I am more familiar with. M

Dolphin Swim For Emily

Ever since we found out we were moving to Singapore, Emily was excited about the Pink Dolphins. Then, we found out that you could swim with the Pink Dolphins, and she knew what she wanted for her birthday. So, this last Saturday, we went to the Dolphin Lagoon on Sentosa Island for our fun adventure. Emily was so brave, I was amazed. A little girl of 7, interacting with a big dolphin with a huge smile on her face. In our group, she was the first one who grabbed the fin and rode it around the pool. So brave! It was awesome to watch her. So, here are just a few picture from this very cool day.

Oh yeah, and I participated as well.

More Recent Pictures

We have been doing things, but nothing too exciting. So, here is just some of the fun pictures that we have captured during our normal life.

Emily at school, where they were performing a play. She loved it. She did great with her lines. Her shy days are slowly fading away.

Jenna and her friend Faith. Faith, and her family, have become friends.

A tired little girl.

Is that Harry Potter, a cowgirl, or what?

Emily was amazed that bags or rice were so big!

Emily in the school cafeteria. I think she really loves school.

Anna at a hawker center for dinner. Yes, that is Milo (chocolate milk) in a bag. Great to drink, hard to set down.

Fun at a pool while visiting a couple from church.
