A Cook In The House

Kristin woke up one morning to hear some abnormal noise in the kitchen. Because it was so noisy, she got up to find out what was going on. Anna, being up before the rest, decided to make breakfast and surprise mommy. Good idea for Anna, but she was quickly reminded that she shouldn't be using the oven, stove and other such dangerous appliances without the appropriate supervision. Of course, not wanting to squelch that cooking spirit, Kristin let Anna cook for a part of the day. Here are just a couple of pictures from that cooking day.

Welcome Home To Our Zambia Missionaries

Several of our good friends from church spent several weeks in Zambia on a missions trip. To welcome them back to Peoria, we met them at the airport with a sign and some hugs.

Terry and Terry coming off the plane.

Terry thanking the girls for coming to the airport with a self-made sign.

And, a couple pictures taken by the Zambia crew.

More Minnesota Fun Pictures

We had lots of fun in Minnesota this summer visiting Papa and Grandma as well as Aunt Marette and family. Here are some more pictures of all the fun we had. A part of the trip included an afternoon at the Oxbow Park, which included some fishing (but no fish).

Papa and Grandma ... and the 3 sweet girls.

Jenna and the grandparents before church.

Jenna got some new socks. Not sure how polar bear socks and sandals work together, but she was very busy trying to make it work.

The adults went to the Hubble House, without the kids. We had a great time.

Trip To Nashville

Over Labor Day, we took off for Nashville to visit family and go to a reunion at Lipscomb for Kristin. We had a great time staying with and playing games with Uncle Joe and Aunt Suzie. The girls discovered the fun of the board game Sorry, which was played multiple times. Also, Uncle Joe humored Anna and played Monopoly as well. What great times and memories. Oh yeah, Emily was treated with a very special birthday cake with an "E" made out of M&Ms. Just what our little Emily ordered.

Wildlife Prairie Park with Uncle Troy and Bethany

On a recent Saturday, we took Uncle Troy and Bethany to Wildlife Prairie Park while the "older" women shopped.  We had lots of fun seeing the animals and playing around.  Always a fun day with cousins.

Downtown Fun With Grandma Haubenreich

Grandma came to visit us right before Labor Day ... and of the fun we have with Grandma. We took Grandma downtown Peoria for a night on the town, which meant a nice walk and then dinner at Joe's Crab Shack. The all had a wonderful time, as you can see from the pictures.
