Then and Now

What a difference just a few years makes to a dress ... I can hardly believe my eyes. The first picture is of Anna in 2005 (late fall/early winter) I believe. The second picture is Emily this last weekend. Thanks Florida Grandma for the beautiful dress.

Uncle Ron & Aunt Marsha visit

Last weekend, we got a special surprise with a quick visit from Uncle Ron and Aunt Marsha. They stopped through Peoria on their way back from a wedding. Even though it was just a few minutes, the girls always love a visit from Aunts and Uncles.

Happy Halloween

Yes, Halloween came even at our house. The weather was unseasonably warm with the high hitting almost 70 degrees on Friday. Which made for a very lovely evening of Trick-or-Treating in the neighborhood. Anna dressed up as a lion (same as at the zoo), and Emily and Jenna were pumpkins. Since it was such a great day, I got home early so we could carve a jack-o-lantern, and get to the candy hunting early. The girls loved it all, and then accompanied us to a party at one of Anna's friend's house down the street. By the end, everyone was worn out. Happy Halloween!!!
Trick or treating in our neighborhood with a group (all girls but 1 poor little guy on the far right).

Grandad and Grandma Haubenreich visit

Grandad and grandma stopped by after their visit to Milwaukee to see Jeff and Annie and the boys. As always, the girls greatly enjoyed their time with both. Jenna got to know grandma quite well (and even did so well Kristin and I got a date out of the few days), while Anna and Emily enjoyed the walks and the wrestling. Thanks for coming Grandad and Grandma.

Howl-Zoo-Ween

Yes, it is almost halloween, and so we headed for the Peoria Zoo to trick-or-treat. And of course, when you go to a zoo to trick-or-treat ... you should dress up as animals. So, we have Anna as a lion, Emily as a cow, and little Jenna as a leopard. Lots of fun, lots of candy, and a ride on the Twirl-a-Pumpkin.

A visit to the Apple Orchard

We seem to really enjoy visiting apple orchard's in the Peoria area. So, while Addlea was visiting, Kristin and the girls took Addlea. Even Jenna enjoys a beautiful fall day, especially when a slide or swing is involved. Also, see the pictures of the orchard that are posted on our discussion about Addlea's visit.
