Cincinnati Children's Musem

On the way to Kentucky to visit grandad and grandma, the girls spent the night outside of Cincinnati and went to the museum before heading to Kentucky.

Tanner's Orchard

A beautiful fall day and a visit to Tanner's Orchard. We had a great day of eating, visiting the goats, riding ponies, playing on their great playground, barrel rides and of course, apple picking.

Starved Rock State Park

On the way back from Chicago in early October, we stopped at Starved Rock State Park, just about an hour north of Peoria. It was a beautiful day or almost 80 degrees, and there was many people enjoying the beautiful day and this very beautiful State Park. We had great fun enjoying God's wonderful nature. Emily And The Tooth Fairy

Yup - Emily lost her first tooth this weekend. She let mom reach right in and grab it out. What a brave, and excited, girl. Way to go Emily.

Anna In The Dunlap Homecoming Parade

Now that Anna is in girl scouts, she gets to participate in the Dunlap Homecoming Parade. We bought her a bunch of suckers to hand out, and off she went with her troop. More importantly, Jenna loved the parade (especially the candy part).





Jenna loved waiving at all the floats, and trying to be cute for more candy.

The Circus Comes To Town

What can be more fun than an afternoon at the circus. We all went and had a great time watching the tigers and elephants. Believe it or not, the girls have been playing circus for the last few days.


Yes, that's an elephant carrying around a dog in a basket



You think this would hurt, but apparently not!



I'm not sure how this guys made it in the circus with an act including a donkey and a goat, but he was dressed up nice.

A Cook In The House

Kristin woke up one morning to hear some abnormal noise in the kitchen. Because it was so noisy, she got up to find out what was going on. Anna, being up before the rest, decided to make breakfast and surprise mommy. Good idea for Anna, but she was quickly reminded that she shouldn't be using the oven, stove and other such dangerous appliances without the appropriate supervision. Of course, not wanting to squelch that cooking spirit, Kristin let Anna cook for a part of the day. Here are just a couple of pictures from that cooking day.
