Duck Dynasty Night in Singapore

In honor of one of our favorite shows at the moment, we decided (with the Berntsons) to have a Duck Dynasty Night. What could be more entertaining than eating and watching a few episodes of Duck Dynasty you ask? Good question!!!

To up the anti ... we decided to introduce one of Jase's favorites ... frogs. In the U.S., it may not be that easy to find fresh frogs, but here in Singapore, we only have a 3 block walk down to the wet market to find frogs waiting for us (well, okay maybe the frogs weren't waiting in the same way the lady selling the frogs was waiting for a customer ... but you get the picture).

Maybe we will let the pictures tell the story.

The unsuspecting frog. Do you think he is in shock by sitting next to his friends?

Notice the size of this big guy ... and the grin on the ladies face!!!

It is over ... with splashes of blood on the wall.

3 lbs for $12 dollars. To tell you the truth, we really weren't sure what the going rate for frog legs were.

The preparation begins. Frog legs on the left, frog bodies on the right.

The girls not sure quite what to think.

Julie and Kristin in the kitchen. There wasn't any screaming, so I guess that means it went well.

Cooking in progress.

The finished product!!!

Dinner has started. Most of the kids only made it through a few bites of the frog legs. I (Aaron) had two legs and a body. The body wasn't my favorite. Believe it or not, less like chicken ... more like fish.

Family watching of Duck Dynasty as Jase is frog hunting.

Froggy's Cafe! Aptly named for this occasion.
