Cebu, Philippines

For a few hours one day, we went touring around Cebu.  Here are just a couple of the places we got to visit.

For you history buffs, Ferdinand Magellan was here, but beat back by this nice bronze local man.

A market at this historic site, to help the tourists spend their money.

 A few locals!
 Fort San Pedro, Cebu.

 Beautiful scenery
The Filipino-made Jeepney.  The Jeepney evolved from the surplus of World War II Jeeps that the Americans left behind after the war.
We were told that we had to try Lechon (roasted pig), which is a local favorite.  Excellent and cheap.
Emily checking out the heads of the pigs laying around in the restaurant.

Yes, the splatters on the glass are from the lady with the hachett cutting up pieces of pig for us to eat.
